Permits

After the student has completed the first 6 hours of the online classroom course they will receive the DEE-964 certificate. This certificate will indicate that they are enrolled in a state approved driver education course.  They will take the DEE-964 certificate to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) along with other legal documents (i.e. birth certificate, social security, verification of enrollment form, etc.) to obtain a learner's permit.  This permit will allow them to drive with someone over the age of 21 in the car with them.

DPS Requirements:
    Social Security Card
    Birth Certificate
    Third form of ID (high school ID, or military ID)
    Verification of Enrollment form from high school
                           Valid for 30 days (90 days in summer)
    DL-14 from DPS office
